There was no guide commentary and one of the stops by the stupa was way too short. The bus just kind of drops you at the sites and you go in on your own. Still an experience we wouldn't miss. They didn't pick us up from the hotel and once we waited about 20 min past pick up time and I called the operator it took him a while to find our reservation and instruct us where to go.”

Someone on the bus catered to the tourists from India and the couple from Kathmandu. I was the lone Westerner. Had it not been for the lovely couple from Katmandu, I would have been completely lost. Because of them, this tour was what it was; they took me under their wing. And by luck, it was a Hindu holiday, so some places were free, and it was festive as well.”
